Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is there anything I need to bring ?
Do I need any special clothes or shoes ?
A. Not particularly.
Any kind of outfit you feel is comfortable would do.
Indoor Shoes or Dance shoes are not required unless you want them.
Every body wears what they feel like.
Some students come to the class in a T-shirt with jeans and sneakers,
while some students show up in a suit and tie on their way back from work.

Q. Do I need to book in advance or sign up
when I first join the lesson ?
A. No you don’t.
All the lessons are open,"Drop-In class".
Just come along directly to your appropriate class.

Q. Can I come to the class on my own ?
I don’t have a dance partner.
A. Of course you can.
Most of the students come along to the class alone.

Q. I’ve never learned any dance/Salsa before.
Can I keep up with the class ?
A. Don’t worry.
In our "Beginners" class,
we always start with understanding the way to pick up the beat
before moving our body.
If you can enjoy the music, and are not too proud to laugh at your own mistakes,
you are sure to improve !

Q. How long does it take to be a "Salsa-Dancer" ?
A. It depends on what level you want,
but for example,
you can ask someone to dance with you and enjoy dancing Salsa together,
with the skills of several times of our Beginners class.
And of course,
In Salsa; which keeps growing every day all over the world,
there is no limit when you want more.

Q. Will I be able to dance with people in another location of the world ?
A. Yes, you can.
Realistically speaking,
Salsa-Dance varies in fine nuance of turns or steps by styles.
But the basic idioms of rhythm and pair-works are all universal.
So even if you are dancing with a partner of different style,
you can enjoy "talking" like an American speaking to a British.
And if you are dancing with someone with the Cuban-style,
you can dance like talking to a childhood friend.
